An Original 1947 Vintage Theatrical 11" x 14 1/4" [28 x 36 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Kim Hunter was an actress from the 1940s to the 2000s. She started in movies in the early 1940s, and also performed on stage, and she recreated her Broadway role as Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film) on the screen, but then she was blacklisted, and that derailed her movie career. She had a major hit in The Planet of the Apes in 1967 (as Zira), and she appeared in many of the sequels, and did some TV movies and stage plays for the remainder of her career.
