An Undated (probably late 1960s or early 1970s) Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest, the classic 1959 Alfred Hitchcock New York City South Dakota romantic crime suspense thriller ("The Master of Suspense weaves his greatest tale... about a secret that nobody knew... a man who never existed... and a love affair that began in an upper berth - and ended in screaming death!"; "From the killer plane in the cornfield to the cliff-hanger on George Washington's nose, it's suspense in every direction!"; "The master of suspense spins his greatest tale"; "A train may be an old-fashioned way to travel, but an upper berth can be a lovely way to go - When It's Your Time To Go......"; "Breathless excitement that races from glittering Manhattan to the great stone faces of Mt. Carroll, Martin Landau, Edward Platt, and Phillip Ober NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we feel this is surely a late 1960s or early 1970s re-release of this classic movie. We know it is surely not from 1966, because that is when the movie was given a major re-release, with all new posters, with completely different images. One might think this poster dates from before 1966, because it has the art that was used in 1959, but its litho number from after the one on the 1966 poster, so we know it is from a later year and we would guess it is from at least a few years later, so likely from the late 1960s or early 1970s. It has no ratings, so that would seem to indicate that it is from before 1968 (when the ratings began), but it is instead quite possible that this is an international poster, which would explain the lack of ratings, and could mean that it is from after the ratings began but was used outside of the U.S. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
