An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Blood on the Sun, the 1945 Frank Lloyd anti-Japanese World War II (WWII) crime thriller ("Cagney's mightiest!"; "CAGNEY... With both fists flying!"; "Battle the Japs with Cagney"; produced by William Cagney) starring James Cagney, Sylvia Sidney, Porter Hall, John Emery, Robert Armstrong, Wallace Ford, Rosemary De Camp, and John Halloran. Note that when the United States was deep into World War II, racist epithets were used against the Japanese they were fighting, and they were prominently put on movie posters of that time like this one, and we certainly hope never to see that again! Also, note that Cagney trained intensively in the martial art of judo for his role, and performed his own stunts. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is not marked, but it is NOT the style A poster, and since we know that there IS a style A poster on this title, we assume that this poster is the style B, so we are referring to it in that fashion. Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has separation in the ends of the center horizontal fold and creases and tears of varying lengths (generally 1" or less but some are larger) along portions of some edges. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid. Learn More about condition grades
