An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Six-Sheet Movie Poster (6sh; measures 81" x 81" [206 x 206 cm]) (Learn More) Richard Talmadge, the 1930s Reliable Pictures stock posters used by theater-owners who were shows Talmadge pictures ("The Ace of Screen Dare-Devils"; "His Stunts Thrill Millions"; "The World's Greatest Action Star!"; "A Mile-A-Minute Melodrama"). While the same images were used, the bottom of the one-sheets (and a section of each of the larger posters) were created with the individual title and credits, and this was so well done, that they don't look like stock posters at all! Note that Richard Talmadge was born "Sylvester Alphonse Metz", and he was an acrobat with the Barnum and Bailey Circus. He got a job in Hollywood as a stuntman for Douglas Fairbanks Sr., and then graduated to starring in movies, always performing lots of stunts. He had two acrobat brothers, Otto Metzetti and Victor Metz, who appeared with him in some of his movies. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster LOOKS like it might not be a "stock" poster, but the title and credits are printed on a separate section of the poster, and the studio created other six-sheets for other Richard Talmadge movies by simply printing that bottom right section with the title and credits of other movies (they did the same for three-sheets as well). Also note that this six-sheet was printed in 4 sections designed to overlap. Condition: very good. There is some darkening on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. Learn More about condition grades
