Matra (Mecanique Aviation Traction) was a French company covering a wide range of activities mainly related to automobiles, bicycles, aeronautics and weaponry from 1964 to 2003. In the 1960s and 1970s, Matra enjoyed considerable success in Formula 3 and Formula 2 racing with its MS5 monocoque-based car, and they won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1972, 1973 and 1974 and the World Championship for Makes in 1973 and 1974.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a few faint scuffs in the upper right. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
