The drink often has the slogan "ouvre l'appetit" ("the key to the appetite"), and was an early sponsor of the Tour de France. It is made by an infusion of gentian, cinchona (quinine) and herbs of the Grande Chartreuse mountains in a mistelle base. Artist: Charles Lemmel Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a 2" tear in the top border and three small tears in the bottom border. It had tears in the top corners and some scuffs in the top right background area.
