Artist: Zeineddine Important Added Info: Note that in the past two years, we at eMoviePoster.com have been consigned recent Egyptian posters that were used at an Egyptian movie theater showing classic movies. We were told that these showings occurred starting around 20 years ago, and that they continued to the present day. Some of those posters appeared to be 10 or more years old, but others seemed to be from the last couple of years. In 2021, we were consigned a total of 18 hand painted billboard sized Lebanese posters that apparently hung on the walls at similar Lebanese showings (we sold them in two different sets of auctions)! Most of those measured around 6 feet by 12 feet, and each was a one of a kind poster, painted by a specific Lebanese artist, "Zeineddine", and most of those posters sold for at least $150 each, and one of them, from Return of the Jedi, sold for $542! Now we have been consigned 5 more of these hand painted "billboard" Lebanese posters, and we are auctioning them in 5 separate auctions, and they include three Star Wars related posters, one Raiders of the Lost Ark, and one Barbarella (one of the previous ones we auctioned was also Barbarella, but it was a different hand-painted poster)! We have been told that this specific poster was used between 10 and 25 years ago at a showing of this movie in Lebanon, but we can't verify that for certain. The above is all the information we have about this poster, so please do not bid unless you can accept these uncertainties as to exactly when it was created and how it was used. Note that this Lebanese poster was printed in 8 sections designed to overlap. Also note that the theater that used this poster glued the pieces together before putting them on display (this is typical of many actual theater-used posters in multiple pieces). Condition: good to very good. There are some pinholes and some punch holes around the edges from when it was attached to a wall. As described above, this is a one of a kind hand painted poster, created on multiple sheets of poster paper. It was attached to a wall with pins around the edges, so there are pinholes around the edges. There is some rippling in parts of the poster that might have been caused by water staining or when paint was applied to the paper. See our image to get a sense of the exact condition of this poster.
