Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Great K and A Train Robbery, the 1926 Lewis Seiler silent railroad detective cowboy western ("The foremost western thriller of the greatest western star"' "From Paul Leicester Ford's novel"; about a detective who is called in to solve a series of train robberies, and he poses as a masked outlaw in order to join the gang and arrest them!) starring Tom Mix, Tony ("the wonder horse"), Dorothy Dwan, Will Walling, Harry Gripp (billed as "Harry Grippe"), and John Wayne (who had a bit part in the movie and was also the property boy). Note that this movie is considered one of Tom Mix's very best! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. the poster was linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had a few tape stains in the borders and these were very expertly painted over and a few had new paper placed over them. It was expertly done and most people would not realize it was done if it were not pointed out to them. In the image area, there was a small hole at each crossfold and a few tiny areas of paper loss on the vertical fold. There were a few other minor defects throughout the image, but nothing at all significant. The poster was very well restored and one can only see the restoration from inches away. From any distance, the poster looks wonderful and there is truly little restoration within the image area! Learn More about condition grades
