An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 25 3/4" x 39 3/4" [65 x 101 cm]) (Learn More) Bessie Barriscale was an actress from 1913 to the 1930s. She was a very popular leading lady throughout the 1910s, but at the end of the decade, she married director/actor Howard Hickman and they had a baby, and she made few movies after that, although she made many stage appearances. When her husband and she were first married, they took a world tour, and brought a cameraman with them, to film their adventures! She passed away in 1965 at the age of 80. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster measures 25 3/4" x 39 3/4". It has no blank borders, so it is possible that they were trimmed off, but being as this is a special personality poster, it is almost possible it was simply made this size. The poster was folded in half an extra time and there were creases and fine surface paper loss on parts of several foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was mounted onto a thin linen with no excess, and no restoration was performed. While I could easily imagine many collectors displaying the poster just as it is, I also know that if it were removed from the old backing and re-backed with slight restoration, the poster will look great!
