An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Susanna Foster (born Suzanne Larson) was an actress and singer from the 1930s to the 1940s (with one additional role in 1992). Susanna was brought to Hollywood at the age of 12 by MGM, who sent her to school and groomed her for a singing and acting career. Two of her classmates in school were Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland. However, MGM never used her, and she was eventually signed by Paramount in 1939. Despite becoming a huge star over the course of several popular films, she abruptly quit acting in 1945. Some of her movies include: The Great Victor Herbert, The Hard-Boiled Canary, Phantom of the Opera, Bowery to Broadway, and Detour. She passed away in 2009 at the age of 84. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Susanna Foster! Also note that this is a deluxe fan photo printed on double weight paper stock. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
