Beche, William Witney, & John English Marines military science fiction (sci-fi) serial ("A Republic serial in 12 lightning episodes") starring Lee Powell, Bruce Bennett (billed as "Herman Brix"), Eleanor Stewart, Montagu Love, Hugh Sothern, and Lester Dorr (uncredited as the main villain, The Lightning). Note that, as often happened with 1930s and 1940s serials, this one was edited into a "feature version" (a condensed version of all the chapters, eliminating unnecessary subplots, and bringing it down to feature length). However, in this case, the feature version was not created and released until six years after the serial was released, so we list it as a separate entry, because of the long delay between the two. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
