A 1946 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More) The Divorce of Lady X, the 1938 Tim Whelan English romantic mistaken identity divorce lawyer comedy ("Xceedingly funny! That's the only way to describe it! And We Bet You'll Laugh Till You're Xhausted!"; "A Comedy in Technicolor"; "'Who was the Lady in room 315?' Mayfair boiled with gossip... as the frantic young woman-hater combed the town to find the nameless beauty who had stolen his pajamas and his bed."; "'Where were you on the night of January 22nd?'"; "And what kind of a hussy was she... stealing a stranger's book and his pajamas and his bed and not even leaving her name."; "Thanks for the use of your bed--"; produced by Alexander Korda; about a divorce lawyer who, due to a shortage of hotel rooms, shares his suite with a beautiful lady, and then believes her to be married, but he chases after her because he mistakenly believes she is the soon-to-be ex-wife of his newest client) starring Merle Oberon, Laurence Olivier, Binnie Barnes, Ralph Richardson, Morton Selten, and H.B. Hallam NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Osvaldo Venturi Important Added Info: Note that an advanced collector of Argentinean posters tells us that this poster (and other Argentinean posters from Guaranteed Pictures) are not from 1943 (as we and many other sellers have mistakenly put), but are actually from the mid-to-late 1940s, and that they are re-releases. We got the date of 1943 from the poster but that is actually part of the company's street address! Apparently, Guaranteed Pictures made a deal to re-release several classic movies in the mid 1940s, and they produced posters for those re-releases with great art by the wonderful Argentinean poster artist, Osvaldo Venturi. Please do not bid on this poster thinking that it is a first release from 1943 as it is a 1946 re-release. Condition: fair to good. The poster is quite fragile and has small paper loss and many tiny tears on most foldlines. But the poster is mostly "all there", and after linenbacking by a talented professional, it will look fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
