The show has been held annually since 1900 and was once known as the International Automobile Show. The show was held at the New York Coliseum from 1956 to 1987 when the show moved to the Javits Center. In addition to individual programs during the show, there are automobile related conferences, forums, symposiums, and other gatherings. The ten day event contribution to economy of the City and State is estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars Artist: Bernard Brussel-Smith Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that this poster must be sent in a tube that is over 32" long (which is why it is in this set of auctions). You can tell how long the tube will need to be by adding 2 inches to the shorter dimension of the length or width (so 40x60s need to be sent in a 42 inch long tube, etc). Most of these posters (with the notable exception of paper banners) CAN be combined in the same tube together, with a few exceptions. Bear in mind that a very long tube (42 inches or longer) will cost a lot more to send than a 30" tube, so bear that in mind before bidding on this poster. Condition: very good. The poster has creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges that affect only blank paper and there is a slightly larger blank border tear at upper left that is backed by masking tape.
