An Original 1938 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 28" x 37 1/2" [71 x 95 cm]) (Learn More) Mr. & Mrs. Martin Johnson's Baboona, the 1935 Osa and Martin Johnson African wildlife documentary ("An Aerial Epic Over Africa"). Note that the movie was actually filmed in Africa, quite difficult and sensational in 1935! Also note that Osa Johnson was married to Martin Johnson, and that they made African documentary movies for 20 years, but Martin Johnson was killed in 1937 during the filming of "Borneo", but his wife finished the movie and released it after his death, and she also released one final movie, "I Married Adventure", in 1940, three years after her husband's death, and on that movie, she was billed as "Osa Johnson (Mrs. Martin Johnson)" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Halutzow Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned ANY movie paper from German for this movie! German movie paper made prior to World War II is incredibly rare. There are very few German movie posters from during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. It is likely that German posters from during the Nazi era are even more rare than those from before that era, because most of those that survived the war would have been destroyed right after the war! Condition: very good to fine. There is tiny separation at the crossfolds and two small tears in the blank borders. The poster has certainly survived in about as good condition as one could possibly hope! Learn More about condition grades
