Date Sold 5/5/2013Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 4 1/4" x 7" [11 x 18 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Greater Movie Season, the 1925 herald ("Celebrate!!!"; "The new season's best pictures are here") encouraging a visit to a local theater. This was a "movement" that was started in 1925, and lots of theaters across the country participated. This herald has a great essay inside by "Dr. Frank Crane" called "The Movies", and it tells how much better movies are than plays, because they cost so much less, and also because you see "real life" and not painted backdrops like you would see in plays. More importantly, "you are not tortured with the torture of the English language" because "there is no talking". You don't have to strain to hear like you do at a play, because "if there's anything to say, it's printed"! If anyone knows more about this herald, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
