An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) the circa 1940s stock poster created for use by theaters showing re-releases of cowboy western movies. Theaters would order these posters which had a large blank area. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area. There are small bits of paper loss and several areas of separation along some parts of the foldlines and/or crossfold(s). There is much paper loss at upper center above the crossfold.
