Our consignor purchased this item (and other posters autographed by Herb Jeffries) from a married couple of poster dealers who traveled to western shows for years, and they were friends of Mr. Jeffries, and he signed several items for them. Our consignor has no certificate of authenticity, but he and we believe the signature to be surely authentic. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on parts of some foldlines and in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that someone put thick white tape across the excess linen at the top of the poster, and inserted metal grommets through the tape in the excess linen, which allowed them to display the three-sheet without framing it!
