Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, the 1989 circus poster ("The greatest show on earth") promoting a show and featuring art and images of various circus acts and animals. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. The modern version of the circus started in 1919 when the Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth, a circus created by P. T. Barnum and James Anthony Bailey, was merged with the Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows. With weakening attendance and high operating costs, the circus closed on May 21st, 2017 after 146 years.
