An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked English One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 40") (Learn More) the condensed feature-length version of Jesus of Nazareth, the 1977 Franco Zeffirelli English/Italian TV mini-series historical Biblical religious biography melodrama starring Robert Powell (in the title role "as Jesus" Christ), Anne Bancroft, Ernest Borgnine, Valentina Crotese, James Farentino, James Earl Jones, Stacy Keach, Tony Lo Bianco, James Mason, Ian McShane (best remembered for his starring in HBO TV's "Deadwood"; he finally achieved major stardom after decades of fine acting!), Laurence Olivier, Donald Pleasence, Christopher Plummer, Anthony Quinn, Fernando Rey, Rod Steiger, Peter Ustinov, Michael York, Olivia Hussey ("as Mary"), Claudia Cardinale, and Lorenzo Monet (as young Jesus). Note that this excellent TV series was shown on U.S. television in many parts (it ran 382 minutes). There was a slightly edited English version that ran on TV there in two nights and each part was 180 minutes. There was an Italian theatrical version that was a massive 237 minutes, that apparently was shown in one sitting (but was still heavily condensed). We know it also played in French theaters in two parts, so we suspect it is the version that was shown on English television. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and creases, tiny tears, and tiny paper loss between the top and middle crossfolds. There were some minor border defects.
