Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Swedish Movie Poster (measures 26 1/2" x 39") (Learn More) Popeye Cartoon, the circa late 1930s stock Swedish animated cartoon comedy short poster for Popeye cartoons. Swedish theaters could order this poster and then put the name of a specific Popeye cartoon in the box at lower left when they were showing a Popeye cartoon. Note that under the Swedish title it reads, "King of the Mardi Gras". I don't know if this is how Popeye was known in Sweden at that time, or if it has a different meaning. Important Added Info: Note that this Swedish poster measures 26 1/2" x 39" and is unfolded. Condition: very good to fine. there are three longer clean tears in the bottom border, ranging in length from 1/2" to 3"; there was a 1" tear in the center of the bottom border that is repaired with tape from the back; there is a 2" tear in the right of the top border that extends into Popeye's hand; there are tiny pinholes and creases in some of the blank borders; there are very minor creases and smudges throughout the poster; The poster is in better condition than the above makes it sound! The image area of the poster is in nice unrestored condition (except for the single piece of tape on the back), and the colors are extremely bright. Its defects are minor and in the borders and would vanish if it were linenbacked and the poster would look wonderful! Learn More about condition grades
