A 1923 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Americano, the 1916 John Emerson silent romantic adventure comedy ("The fight for the overthrow of the new 'Government' is on..."; "The story of a breezy American mining engineer who gets mixed up in a Central American revolution"; "The story of a breezy American mining-engineer who stops a Central American revolution and becomes Commander-in-Chief of the Armies of Paragonia"; "Supervised by D.W. Griffith"; based on the book Blaze Derringer by Eugene P. Lyle Jr.) starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr., Alma Rubens, Spottiswoode Aitken, Carl Stockdale, Tote Du Crow, "and a notable cast". Note that this movie was released by Triangle in 1916, and there were Triangle movie posters made in 1916. There were also movie posters from "S.A. Lynch Enterprises, Inc.". It is possible that this movie distributed the movie on a states rights basis on its first run in 1916, or it could be from a re-release soon after. In any event, the S.A. Lynch posters are not from the very first release of the movie, because states rights releases occurred after the initial release (which was solely in major cities). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good to fine. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back of the card! Learn More about condition grades
