Date Sold 8/19/2008Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Hurry, Charlie, Hurry, the 1941 Charles E. Roberts Native American Indian race relations slapstick comedy short ("He tries to save his face! He's lucky to keep his scalp!"; a very interesting comedy short, where Errol is a hapless husband who escapes his wife by going fishing, but he meets a group of Native American Indians on his trip and they come to visit him, and they are very stereotyped uncivilized savages; interestingly, there is a sequence where a policeman starts to arrest the Indians and Errol protests that the white men had stolen their land and that they should be forgiven, and this was decades before political correctness!) starring Leon Errol, Mildred Coles, Kenneth Howell, Cecil Cunningham, and George Watts NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster had an area of paper loss just above the middle crossfold (in the blank background) and small paper loss at the bottom crossfold. There were creases and a few tiny tears on the foldlines and some staple holes, tears, smudges, and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
