An Original Vintage Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 43" x 74 1/2" [109 x 189 cm]) (Learn More) Quinquina Bonnet, the circa 1910s French poster advertising for Quinquina Bonnet brand liquors, which had won awards in Brussels, Belgium as well in Turin, Italy in consecutive years. This poster features great art of a waiter in a tuxedo pouring a glass of the Apertif De Luxe. Note that the poster is in two pieces (the majority of the poster is the artwork and the writing at bottom, and the top piece with the name of the product and the tagline under it is on a separate piece.). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: P.B. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The lower section of the poster was never folded and had some creases and scuffs scattered throughout. The upper section with the title was designed to overlap the very top of the bottom section, and there was a thin strip of paper loss (measuring 1" x 7"), which affects the bottom of the "XE" of "LUXE". Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed the poster did next to no restoration, and the glue they used to attach the top section to the bottom section is weakening, so that the poster is "lifting" from the linen on the left and right ends (any restorer could re-glue those areas without re-backing the poster, and I imagine they could surely replace the thin strip of paper loss at the same time). Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored! Learn More about condition grades
