An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

The Boy from Stalingrad, the 1943 Sidney Salkow Russia World War II (WWII) military thriller ("They stopped the Nazis cold!"; "Hollywood's first drama of Russia's young heroes!"; based on the true story, about the Russian youths who slowed down the Nazis as they were marching to Stalingrad, and their efforts gained the Russian army enough time to withstand the Nazis!; of course, this was during World War II, when the Russians were our allies, and Hollywood was doing all it could to promote positive U.S./Soviet relations; just a few years later, the Communists were our mortal enemies, and this sort of movie was considered an embarrassment!) starring Bobby Samarzich, Conrad Binyon, Mary Lou Harrington, Scotty Beckett, and Steven Muller. Note that the plot of this movie (no doubt a greatly embellished from the truth) bears a remarkably strong resemblance to "Red Dawn". One wonders if John Milius had seen this movie first, and whether he consciously or subconsciously borrowed the plot!
