She was the wife of director John Cassavetes and the mother of director Nick Cassavetes. Some of her movies (many were her husband's!) include: A Woman Under The Influence (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Gloria (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Lonely Are the Brave, A Child is Waiting, and Faces. She passed away in 2024 at the age of 94. Important Added Info: Note that this 4" x 5" [10 x 13 cm] photo has been personally autographed (signed) by Gena Rowlands! Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper and autographed items who purchased this signed item over the years, and he either obtained it from a dealer through the mail, or by writing to the celebrity, and in each case, he compared the autograph he received with known examples of that star's handwriting, and he (and we) believe that this autograph is authentic.
