An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese Export (printed for use in English speaking countries) "B1" Movie Poster (29x41; measures 28 1/2" x 40 1/2" [72 x 103 cm]) (Learn More) Uchu Daikaiju Girara (released in the U.S. in 1968 on TV as "The X From Outer Space" and released in Australia as "Invasion of The X From Outer Space"), the 1967 Kazui Nihonmatsu Japanese kaiju battling rubbery monsters horror science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("What is this monstrous Thing? You are trapped in a spectacle of terror..."; "Mankind threatened by a deadly nucleus from the vast void of space"; "Feel the pulsating horror in the world beyond our world!"; "Filmed in a galaxy of colors!") starring Toshiya Wazaki, Peggy Neal, Eiji Okada, Shinichi Yanagisawa, and Itoko Harada. The IMDb says that this movie did not play in the U.S. in theaters, but was shown on TV in 1968, which makes sense, because we have never seen even a single U.S. poster of any kind. We have seen an Australian daybill, so it was released there, and it was released in a few non-English-speaking countries. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Japanese movie! Also note that this Japanese B1 poster was printed in Japan, but was intended to be used when the movie was shown in English speaking countries. Also note that this is a rare Japanese "B1" poster that measures 28 1/2" x 40 1/2" [72 x 103 cm]! "B1" posters are FAR more rare than "B2" posters (which measure approximately 20" x 28 1/2"), and because they are larger (similar in size to a U.S. one-sheet), they are more impressive when displayed on a wall! Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture and it has slightly darkened. It has separation at the bottom crossfold and a tear at top. It is otherwise "all there" and after proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
