Note that Bernard Gorcey was star Leo Gorcey's father, and he played Louie, the owner of the Sweet Shop, where the boys frequently hung out, and Louie was often involved in slapstick gags, and many times Leo Gorcey would be tormenting or slapping his own father! Two cards (the one with Hall and Gorcey near the door and the one with Hall covered in ice cream soda) have discoloration at right that has been painted over with either white or green paint.
