Yet Alive!"; "Doomed to be one of the 'walking dead' by weird and wily witchcraft... her radiant blonde loveliness ravaged through the curse of vengeful voodoo!"; "Who said the dead don't walk!"; "See It Happen - right before your startled eyes..in the screen sensation that rips the mask from the darkest secrets of forbidden voodoo!"; "Forbidden voodoo secrets sensationally revealed!"; "Voodoo... Wow! What a Spot!"; "Based on an Original Story by Inez Wallace", very loosely based on the novel 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Bronte; "Screenplay by Curt Siodmak & Ardel Wray") starring James Ellison, Frances Dee, Tom Conway, Edith Barrett, James Bell, Christine Gordon, and Darby Jones NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release lobby cards from this Val Lewton classic are quite rare, likely because the movie had two quick re-releases (in 1952 and 1956). We have not auctioned this card for 8 years! Condition: fair to good. The card was taped to a mat with tape all around the edges of the back of each border and when the tape was removed, it caused tiny paper loss and surface paper loss on the back of the borders. The front of the borders had many small areas of surface paper loss, extending into the edges of the image and some small areas of surface paper loss scattered throughout the card. There are a few small tears and pinholes in the borders. Someone performed some very slight attempts at amateur restoration to the borders, but basically, the card is unrestored. Certainly, a talented restorer could greatly improve the appearance of this card (without adding a lot of paint), but bear in mind the card's defects before placing a bid.
