An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded German Movie Poster (12x19; measures 12 1/4" x 17 1/4" [31 x 44 cm]) (Learn More) Kadetten (literally translates to "Cadets"), the 1939 Karl Ritter German Seven-Year War military action thriller (a historical film, set in 1760, during the Seven Years War; it shows a group of heroic Prussian cadets greatly outnumbered and holding off more experienced Russian soldiers) starring Mathias Wieman, Carsta Lock, Andrews Engelmann, Theo Shall, Josef Keim, and Erich Walter. This movie was made in 1939, but after Germany signed the Nazi-Soviet Pact of non-aggression, the movie was pulled (without any release at all), because of its strong anti-Soviet sentiment. But when Hitler attacked Russia in 1941, it was "pulled off the shelf" and given a full scale release in 1941 (for the first time) precisely because it did cast Russians in a bad light!
