An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Sweetie, the 1929 Frank Tuttle inheritance romantic college university football sports musical ("Campus romance set to music"; a wacky story of a chorus girl who inherits a college, and her boyfriend just happens to be the star football player at the school) starring Nancy Carroll, Helen Kane, Jack Oakie, Stanley Smith, William Austin, and Stuart Erwin. Note that co-star Helen Kane had become immensely popular with her song "Boop-Boopa-Doop", and the song became the trademark of Betty Boop, the sexy female cartoon character (which was why Helen Kane was billed as "The Boop-Boopa-Doop Girl").

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two one-sheets (30 and 28 years ago), a window card (14 years ago), two scene cards (one with the same image as this one, but this is not that same card), a herald, and a few stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this third lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. There is a tiny bit of surface paper loss in the center of Carroll's forehead, and three in her shoulder. There are pinholes, creases, and tiny tears around the edges, with small paper loss in the bottom right blank corner. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
