Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had darkened slightly. It had separation and tiny paper loss on parts of the horizontal folds, with a horizontal tear across part of the "MON" of the title, and an 8" horizontal tear 3" above the right end of the bottom horizontal fold. It had pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
