An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Flicker Flashbacks, the 1947 RKO compilation featuring comedy shorts from classic silents, produced by Richard O. Fleischer (son of animator Max Fleischer). Note that this was a series of 9 short subjects made between 1943 and 1948 (the first was made in 1943 and the rest in 1947 and 1948). In each, Richard Fleischer took two silent one-reel movies (around ten minutes each) and edited them down and combined them, so as to make them humorous, even though he started with two dramatic shorts! He sped up the footage, and used any tricks he could to make the films as funny as possible, at the expense of the original actors. This poster is likely a stock poster created by RKO in 1947 for use by theaters showing any of the shorts. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases and scuffs along most foldlines. There was a 4" diagonal tear at the top center of the poster going into the "P" of "PATHE". There were some minor border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
