Broadway Gondolier, the 1935 Lloyd Bacon Italy New York City theater stage musical romantic screwball comedy ("The stars of 'Gold Diggers of 1933' reunited"; about a New York City taxi driver who wants to become a singer, but has no luck, so he moves to Venice and becomes a gondolier, and pretends to be Italian, and a rich wife of a radio station owner thinks she has discovered a great Italian talent, and brings him back to New York City to star on her husband's radio programs!) starring Dick Powell, Joan Blondell, Adolphe Menjou, Louise Fazenda, William Gargan, George Barbier, Grant Mitchell, Ted Fio Rito and His Band, The Mills Brothers (billed as "The 4 Mills Bros."), and Rafael Alcayde

Important Added Info: Note that this title card is extremely rare. We have never auctioned it before! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: fair to good. There are many light stains around the edges and some in Powell and Blondell's faces. There is a 1" tear in the center of the top border and just a few other small stains scattered in the image. This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the smudges and stains can be removed through chemical means, after which the card will display well.
