An Original Vintage Folded Music Radio Station Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 45") (Learn More) WNEW AM 1130, the circa 1980s radio poster ("Blessed with America's Best") featuring artwork of Mel Torme, the legendary singer who was nicknamed "The Velvet Fog". WNEW was founded in 1934 and was known for its popular adult music selection as well as its staff of radio personalities. In 1935, WNEW pioneered the concept of a disc jockey when staff announcer Martin Block needed to fill time between news bulletins, and played records instead of the usual live orchestra.
