An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10 1/4" [21 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) The Playboy of Paris, the 1930 Ludwig Berger romantic comedy ("When he loves he L-O-V-E-S!"; "When I kiss, I K-I-S-S!") starring Maurice Chevalier, Frances Dee, O.P. Heggie (best remembered as the blind man who befriends the monster in "The Bride of Frankenstein", and also as the next door cellmate to Robert Donat in "The Count of Monte Cristo"), Stuart Erwin, and Eugene Pallette. This was an English language version of "Le Petit Cafe", also made by Paramount in 1930. Universal did the same thing with "Dracula" in 1931. They filmed the movie twice, once in English, and once in French, with two entirely different casts, U.S. actors for the English version and mostly French actors for the French version, obviously for release in French-speaking countries, and the same was done with this movie, except it was made by Paramount only in English and French language versions (the French language version also starred Maurice Chevalier).
