An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10" x 12 3/4" [25 x 32 cm]) (Learn More) The Ninety and Nine, the 1922 David Smith silent romantic murder melodrama ("By Ramsay Morris"; about a man wanted for murder, and he hides out on a farm, where he falls in love with the farmer's daughter) starring Warner Baxter, Colleen Moore, Lloyd Whitlock, Gertrude Astor, Robert Dudley, and Mary Young. Note that Warner Baxter was born in 1889, and in the early 1920s he rose to prominence in silent movies, becoming a major star of the 1920s, while he was in his 30s. He won the Oscar for Best Actor as The Cisco Kid in "In Old Arizona" in 1929, and he remained a top star throughout the 1930s! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Gertrude Astor AND Colleen Moore! Our consignor purchased this card from a collector who had obtained these autographs decades ago. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we feel certain the signatures are authentic. Also note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10" x 12 3/4" [25 x 32 cm]. Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned two different scene cards from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received this third lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good. The card was trimmed on all four sides. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
