Sam Peckinpah was a director and writer from the 1950s to the 2000s. He is best known for his ultra violent movies, including: The Wild Bunch, Straw Dogs, The Getaway, Cross of Iron, and Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid. He passed away in 1984 at the age of 59.

Important Added Info: Note that this is a deluxe news photo printed on double weight paper stock. Sadly, Mr. Peckinpah's reputation for violence extended past his movies. This news photo was taken at the AFI Life Achievement Award Ceremony for James Cagney, and Peckinpah got drunk and got in a fight with a bartender, and "it took several bystanders and guards to separate them"!

Condition: good to very good. There are several printer instructions written in the blank border areas, but the image area is in nice condition.
