Epstein and Lenore J. Coffee"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Priscilla Lane, Rosemary Lane, Lola Lane, Gale Page, Claude Rains, John Garfield (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Jeffrey Lynn ("Tomorrow's biggest romantic favorite!"), Dick Foran, Frank McHugh, and May Robson. Note that this was John Garfield's very first movie, and Warner Bros. knew he would be a major star, so even though he only had a fairly small role, they billed him as "The most dynamic discovery since Cagney!", which was their highest praise (but to be fair, they also thought Jeffrey Lynn would be a big star, and that sure didn't happen). They were right, because Garfield stole the movie in his minor supporting role, and was nominated for an Oscar, and soon was a major star! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this title card, and that card has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example of this card we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. The card has darkened slightly, typical of Warner Bros. linen cards of this period. It is not fragile, which is unusual for these linen cards. It has pinholes in the corners, tiny paper loss in the bottom border, and a tiny scuff mark in the center of the top border. There is a small stain in the background to the left of the title. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
