These covers were printed on notepads that were sold commercially to students and adults, and they sold very large quantities of them! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that in the early 1930s, merchandisers sold notepads to school children that had lined paper (like they used in school), with a full-color picture of a famous movie star on the cover, with the words "TALKING MOVIE STAR" on the top of the cover. What is offered here is a rare salesman sample, which was a very special version of the notepad that had all nine covers in one notepad, so that stores could order whichever version (or versions) they thought would sell best for them! So this salesman sample contains full-color covers of these nine stars: Sue Carol, Maureen O'Sullivan, Anita Page, Nancy Carroll, Fay Wray, Norma Shearer, Irene Delroy, Bessie Love, and Janet Gaynor!
