Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Special poster (measures 24" x 30 1/4") (Learn More) Joel and Ethan Coen's Blood Simple, the 1985 Coen Brothers (Joel Coen & Ethan Coen; in their directorial debut!) romantic crime murder film noir ("Breaking up is hard to do."; "The thriller lives!"; "Murder's hard the first time. After that it's 'Blood Simple'") starring John Getz, Frances McDormand (in her very first movie role!), Dan Hedaya, Samm-Art Williams, and M. Emmet Walsh. Note that this film was shown at several film festivals in 1984, but did not receive a general release until 1985! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare special poster for this cult movie! It came from a man who worked for a major studio during this time, and it is possible that this was just a sample promotional poster that never was used in theaters. This could be the only known copy of this poster! Condition: very good to fine. There are few minor creases and small tears in the borders.. Note that this poster was never folded. Most movie posters from before 1980 were machine folded immediately after printing, but a very few were left unfolded. An unfolded poster from before 1980 is almost always far more difficult to find than a folded poster of the same title, and finding unfolded posters in excellent condition is even more difficult!
