An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Hungarian Movie Poster (measures 36 1/2" x 49 1/2" [93 x 126 cm]) (Learn More) Tom Tyler, a circa 1940s stock poster. Note that this is a "stock" poster created for use by theaters showing their 1940s Tom Tyler western movies (there had been an earlier circa 1936 stock poster that was specifically for the westerns Tom Tyler made for Bernard B. Ray between 1934 and 1936). Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Important Added Info: Note that there is a U.S. Tom Tyler stock poster that we have auctioned that we described above. This one is from Hungary (but oddly it has a Swiss distributor logo and German text which translates to "The Last Bullet"), and we would think it is probably also for those same 1934-1936 westerns, but of course, it could be different.
