An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Top of New York, the 1922 William Desmond Taylor silent New York City romantic family relationship melodrama ("By Sonya Levien"; about a beautiful poor young girl who takes care of her handicapped brother, and she finds love with a widower who has a daughter, and he even pays for an operation for her brother) starring May McAvoy, Walter McGrail, Pat Moore, Edward Cecil, and Charles Bennett. Note that this was director William Desmond Taylor's last movie prior to his infamous murder! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
