An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Home in Oklahoma, the 1946 William Witney musical singing cowboy western starring Roy Rogers ("King of the Cowboys"), Trigger ("The smartest horse in the movies"), George 'Gabby' Hayes, Dale Evans, Bob Nolan, the Sons of the Pioneers, Ruby Dandridge (Dorothy Dandridge's mother!), and Carol Hughes. Note that Roy Rogers and Dale Evans married after filming this movie together! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had paper loss at the top crossfold, with some small tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. There were pinholes, tears, and some stains around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
