Edna Ferber's Show Boat, the 1936 James Whale epic romantic interracial romance riverboat musical ("Version of 1936"; "The grandest show you'll ever know!"; "Hear Glorious New Music and Songs by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein") starring Irene Dunne, Allan Jones, Charles Winninger, Paul Robeson, Helen Morgan, Helen Westley, Queenie Smith, Sammy White, Donald Cook, Hattie McDaniel, Sunnie O'Dea, "and a Cast of Thousands". Note that Universal had previously made a version of this classic stage play in 1929 (starring Lauira LaPlante, Joseph Schildkraut, and Jules Bledsoe), and it was remade again in 1951 (starring Howard Keel, Ava Gardner, and William Warfield)!

Important Added Info: Note that when this movie was released in the U.S., Paul Robeson was given fourth billing, and was not prominently pictured on the advertising. But when it was released in Australia, he was given equal billing to top stars Irene Dunne and Allan Jones on one side of the herald, and equal billing to Irene Dunne (and over Jones) on the other! Plus, only he and Dunne were pictured on the cover and there are two pictures of him on the reverse side. Note that we have pictured both sides of the herald (which was intended to be 4 pages but was not folded)

Condition: very good. The herald was not folded as was intended. There is one tear in the top border, two in the bottom border, and two in the right border. There are some creases around the edges.
