At the dazzle and the madness of London today."; "Two fanatical teenagers on David Hemmings in the hope that he will use them as models."; about a successful photographer who feels completely detached from his photographs of violence and pain until he takes a photo of a couple in a park and discovers a possible murder) starring Vanessa Redgrave, David Hemmings, Sarah Miles, John Castle, Jane Birkin (in her second credited movie role!), Gillian Hills, and Veruschka von Lehndorff (billed as "Verushka" in her first film role, the Russian model who is featured on most of the posters from this classic Antonioni film!), and The Yardbirds (including Jimmy Page & Jeff Beck) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is from the VERY rare first Italian release in 1967 (the poster is dated 1967). When this movie first came out, the original poster campaign had this photographic image, but when the movie became a major sensation, new posters were created with a striking image by Ercole Brini. Since the movie was never out of release during that time, most collectors do not consider the artwork poster a re-release, but this photographic poster pre-dates that release, and this poster is extremely rare. Finally, note that this Italian two-panel poster was printed in 2 sections (designed to overlap) and when combined, the poster measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]. Condition: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at several crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of many foldlines, with some darkening on parts of some foldlines and some smudges scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and the restorer made the decision to paint over portions of the red background area to "even it out", and the poster displays well. Learn More about condition grades
