An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 1/2" x 9 1/4" [19 x 23 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) A Tale of Two Worlds, the 1921 Frank Lloyd silent romantic racial melodrama ("Gouverneur Morris' Famous Story"; "Gouverneur Morris' first original story for the screen"; about a white girl raised by Chinese immigrants in San Francisco and the problems she faces because of people who believe she herself is Chinese; I guess if this movie had been made in the 1940s it would have been taglined "I Passed for Chinese"!) starring J. Frank Glendon, Leatrice Joy, Wallace Beery, E. Allyn Warren, Margaret McWade, and Togo Yamamoto. Note that Leatrice Joy was one of Paramount's best stars at this time, but Samuel Goldwyn "borrowed" her because he thought she was perfect for this movie.
