Ladies Must Live, the 1921 George Loane Tucker silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("'When you thought I was rich you loved me. Now I'm broke you want to be free!'"; "Adapted from the novel by Alice Duer Miller"; about several women trying to decide between "marrying rich" or marrying for love, and the lead lady of course chooses true love at the end of the movie!) starring Betty Compson, Robert Ellis, Mahlon Hamilton, Leatrice Joy, John Gilbert, and Hardee Kirkland. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a single half-sheet (we auctioned the same poster twice) from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this one-sheet!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases, scuffs, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds, with a few tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
