Jean Harlow Bello was the mother of screen star Jean Harlow. Her daughter took her mother's first and middle names as her stage name, because her birth name was Harlean Harlow Carpenter. Her mother lived with her during her successful movie years, and it is well known that most of the signed photos were actually signed by her mother (and obviously, she would have had no trouble signing "Jean Harlow"!). Bello passed away in 1958 at the age of 67.
