Barq's is a brand of root beer from 1898 to the present. The company was founded in 1898 by Edward Barq, and though the company is credited for introducing the product in 1898, some people maintain that it did not formally begin until 1900. Barq's features several flavors, including: Red Creme, Cherry Bite, French Vanilla Creme, and Birch Beer. The company was sold to Coca-Cola in 2000.
