Arise, My Love, the 1940 Mitchell Leisen post Spanish Civil War newspaper journalism romantic comedy melodrama ("The Laughs of MIDNIGHT"; "The Love Story of A FAREWELL TO ARMS"; "Screenplay by Charles Brackett and Billy Wilder"; "Adaptation by Jacques Thery - Of an Original Story by Benjamin Glazer and John S. Toldy"; a pretty odd story of an American who is sentenced to death for his participation on the losing side of the Spanish Civil War, and a female reporter rescues him, and they resist romance because both are more interested in their individual careers!) starring Claudette Colbert, Ray Milland, Walter Abel, Dick Purcell, Dennis O'Keefe, Esther Dale, and George Zucco

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. The poster has separation in portions of the folds (especially the lower horizontal fold which is somewhat fragile) and most of the folds are backed by various types of tape. There is a large tear at center right that extends to the "O" in "COLBERT" and it (and some lesser tears are repaired with tape from the back). There are some scuff marks at left. Certainly the poster could be restored and paperbacked and it would look great, but please bear in mind its defects and cost of restoration of this rare poster before placing a bid.
